Beginning Mesquite

Mesquite is a complex program. It can appear a bit daunting at first, as it has many options. The interface is a bit unusual, in part because of its flexibility, and take some getting used to.

We recommend the following steps to become familiar with Mesquite:

1. Begin by installing Mesquite
2. Following along a few of the step-by-step exercises provided in the Example Files
3. Watch some of the YouTube videos, if any of those are on topics relevant to you.
4. Read the Learning Mesquite page to discover how you can learn about the various aspects of Mesquite.
